Drop In Saltwater Systems
Saltwater Systems such as the Chlorease Ultra, Solaxx Saltron Retro, and the Solaxx Saltron Retro XL are an economical and effective way to convert the dissolved salt in the pool water into chlorine. These drop-in units hang over the pool wall and go directly into the pool water and include a low voltage power supply. An advantage to the drop-in units is the ease of installation on new or existing pools as there is no plumbing required. They also more economical when compared to a Return Jet or Hard Plumbing system.
This self-contained purification system utilizes a natural process to generate pure chlorine. The electrolytic process uses a very low concentration of salt (less then a teaspoon per gallon) and generates free chlorine.
Return Jet Saltwater Systems
Saltwater Systems such as the Solaxx Retro Jet RJ, Hayward Aqualtrol RJ, and the Hayward Salt & Swim ABG are enhanced units that simply connect to the water jet return fitting (on the outside of the pool) and covert the dissolved salt in the pool water into chlorine. These return jet saltwater systems include easy-to-read control panels that accurately calculate salt levels which provide soft, silky water. Most customers prefer the sleeker design of the Return Jet Saltwater Systems rather than the units that hang inside the actual pool water. This way the people swimming in your pool cannot accidentally touch or bump into the unit.
Specifically made for Above Ground Swimming Pools, the Solaxx Retro Jet System produces a pure, elemental form of chlorine by electrolysis of salt added to the pool water. After the salt is converted to chlorine and bacteria has been killed, the chlorine reverts back to salt and this process is ongoing.
Hard Plumbing Saltwater Systems
Systems such as the Solaxx Saltron Reliant, connect to the return line of the pool with PVC pipe or flexible PVC pipe, producing chlorine through the dissolved salt in the pool water. This unit includes a flow switch and control box that features easy push button icons with LED indicators. The flow switch allows you to install the saltwater system in line with your filter system. Hard Plumbing Saltwater Systems can be installed vertically or horizontally which is great for semi-inground installation. It does not have to be mounted to the return jet like the RJ models.
