Is this light good for saltwater pools or will the salt cause corrosion?

    • May 15, 2015 at 5:23 PM

      Hi Joe,

We have never seen any corrosion issues with the Aqualuminator pool light and saltwater pools, the entire light housing and bulb assembly is plastic.

I’ve had the light for 2 years and now when I put the light on it goes off after about 5minutes,what seems to be the problem

      Hi Carol,

The Aqualuminator light is water cooled so first please make sure that it is below the water level in your pool. If water level is not the problem, it can only be one of two possibilities causing the problem, the bulb, or more likely the transformer.

Since the bulbs generally last 1-2 seasons and you have already had it it for 2 years I would suggest trying a new bulb first (since you will need one soon anyway). The replacement bulb for the Aqualuminator and the transformer can be found on our main website.
